Young Scholars Circle - Cohort II

Future Forum is delighted to announce our opening for new applicants for the Young Scholars Circle - Cohort II!


Program Description: The Young Scholars Circle provides training for young Cambodians to upgrade their research, design, and personal skills to influence positive change for livable communities. 


Young Scholars will take part in weekly sessions including policy walks, co-learning sessions, peer review, research colloquiums, roundtable discussions, and co-design sessions as part of the program. Facilitators and advisors will guide the Young Scholars through the program and provide feedback, consultation, and training. Additionally, Young Scholars will embark on exciting exchanges with other like-minded young people during 3, tor 2 days long convening moments throughout the program. Finally, participants will complete the program by implementing a community-oriented project with their peers. 


Successful young scholars will become leading voices in sharing their creative ideas and diverse perspectives to influence a more livable city. The program is supported by USAID Cambodia Advancing Youth Leadership.



Additional Information

  • Period: October 2024 - March 2025

  • Eligibility: University students, fresh graduates, and young professionals who are Phnom Penh based.

  • Emphasis: Ethnic minority, Religious minority, Provincial background, People with disabilities, LGBTQ+.

  • Background: All fields of work, studies, and areas of interest are welcome.

  • Persons with disabilities, LGBTQ+, ethnic minorities are encouraged to apply.


All fields of work, majors, and areas of interest are welcome. This program is recommended for individuals interested in topics such as transportation, housing, energy, climate resilience, urbanism, and building with inclusiveness. Individuals studying or working in engineering, arts, environment, transportation & logistics, design, business, sustainable development, energy, etc. are encouraged to apply.
