Community of Researchers
Overview
Future Forum is building a supportive and inclusive community of researchers that provides ‘platforming’ support – a crucial space for collaboration, exchange and the incubation of ideas between emerging researchers, policy analysts and existing actors in civil society and policy communities. The Community will be a catalyst for empowering young scholars and civil society as they connect, co-think and develop inclusive research and policy solutions, and advocate for new ideas to mould a better future for Cambodia.
The Community Program consists of three key components: 1) Community Building and ‘The Hub’ (Co-learning/working space, Library and Database), 2) Networking and learning events, and 3) Communications platform.
Objectives:
-
To create a platform for diverse emerging researchers, policy analysts, advocates and marginalised groups in Cambodia – ensuring that no one is left behind in public policy discussions and policy formation;
-
To foster a rich structured network and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and partnerships between researchers, CSOs and the policymaking community on policy research and advocacy initiatives;
-
To support and incubate small group initiatives, innovative policy solutions and approaches to address complex societal challenges;
-
To provide mentorship, guidance and support from leading researchers and experienced policy practitioners to community members;
-
To equip community members with practical knowledge and skills in policy research, policy analysis and communication;
-
To facilitate dissemination of research findings and policy recommendations to promote inclusive evidence-based policy advocacy and public engagement in policy-making.
