Welcome to '' Policy Walk: City Side Walk ''
Join Future Forum for an immersive Policy Walk as we tackle one of Phnom Penh’s most pressing urban challenges: How can we make our community more walkable?
Our city is growing rapidly, but our pedestrian infrastructure is falling behind. Today, residents face highly unfriendly and inaccessible sidewalks, a critical lack of green spaces, and unsafe pedestrian environments. Compounding this issue, public sidewalks are increasingly occupied by private activities and properties, forcing people to walk on dangerous roads.
The “2MEGW” initiative is designed to move us from observation to action. This policy walk brings together citizens, urban planners, and policymakers to experience these challenges firsthand and co-create solutions. We aim to explore how we can plant "Green Cells"—localized, interconnected pockets of nature and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure—to reclaim public spaces for the community.
