OU Virak
LIM Younen is currently working as a Social Protection Analyst at the General Secretariat of the National Social Protection Council, Ministry of Economy and Finance. Prior to this, she completed her Master’s Degree in Public at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She wrote her dissertation on political decentralization as part of the research course requirement. Back in 2017, she obtained a Bachelor of Education from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies (English-based Program) from the University of Cambodia. She had extensive experience as the Aid Coordination Officer at Council for Development of Cambodia for two years after joining as a program officer intern at USAID, US Embassy Phnom Penh. In addition to work experience and educational background, she participated in an international program as an exchange volunteer on the Clean Our Plate project in Malaysia. As a young research fellow at Future Forum, she develops her interests in public policy issues related to social protection and decentralization.
