OU Virak
SIM Sovachana is a fresh graduate holding a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Institute for International Studies and Public Policy, Royal University of Phnom Penh. Currently, she is working at The Asia Foundation on Ponlok Chomnes program. Sovachana has just completed a research study on Cambodian graduates’ employability with grant support from Finn Church Aid (FCA). Prior to this, she implemented a project “Reducing Rural-Urban Education Disparities in Cambodia” funded by Transparency International Cambodia (TIC). She published a couple of opinion pieces on Cambodia-China cooperation on Belt and Road Initiative, Gender-based violence at community level, the Impacts of Covid-19 and China’s economic policy. A young research fellow of the 2022 Young Researchers Program July to December Cohort, Sovachana is interested in socio-economic development, youth empowerment and Cambodian foreign policy.
