CHEAB Puthika’s academic background revolves around education. He obtained his bachelor’s degree of education in English (TEFL) in 2014 from the Royal University of Phnom Penh, and he was later admitted to the National Institute of Education, where he received the Certificate of Teacher with Higher Education Degree in 2016. Then he went on to pursue his master’s studies in Educational Research at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and graduated in 2021. Currently, he serves as an English Lecturer at The University of Puthisastra, and a young research fellow of the 2022 Young Researchers Program July to December Cohort. His research interests are teachers’ professional identity, LGBTQ youth’s mental health, gender issues, and sexuality education.
