OU Virak
Dara CHEA is a policy researcher with six years of experience advancing research capacity building, evidence-informed policymaking, and education reform in Cambodia. He holds a B.Ed TEFL (Honours) from Royal University of Phnom Penh. He has coordinated Young Researchers Program and community of researchers initiatives that empowered diverse young researchers, fostered a collaborative policy community, and produced numerous multimedia policy outputs informing public reform discussions. As a Future Forum Research Fellow, he conducts policy analysis on education governance, education financing, school structure, and teacher reforms in Cambodia. His policy work on lifelong learning and wall-less classroom has shaped "learning without walls” discourse and informed ministry-led pilots with partners to expand learning in disadvantaged regions. Dara remains dedicated to using evidence, foresight, and policy solutions to drive education reform and equitable social outcomes in low-and-middle-income countries.
