Rebecca Black is a former senior officer and Mission Director with the U.S. government's international development agency, USAID, and served in leadership positions in Cambodia, Mali, Afghanistan, India, South Africa, and Eastern Europe. She led the USAID Cambodia Mission from 2013 through 2016, guiding programs promoting innovation and technology for social development; democracy and governance; economic development; environment protection; and, food security and health. Mrs. Black has continued to remain active in international development, taking short term assignments with USAID in its Global Innovation Lab and recently returning to Cambodia as interim USAID Director, as well as providing senior advisory services to private foundations. She also serves as a board director to several social development organizations and frequently lectures on international development. Before starting a career overseas, Ms. Black worked in local and community development in the US.
