4th Policywalk Borey 100 Khnong: "Bridging Generations: A Walk Toward Unity and Understanding"

 

💬Description: Future Forum proposes to conduct on the theme of "Bridging Generations: A Walk Toward Unity and Understanding" aims to bridge the generational gap, helping youth understand past policies from the Sangkum era and their impact on the present while imagining future improvements. The neighborhood offers a myriad of sub-topics which contribute to social cohesion, including access to education, walkability, diversity and inclusion, housing affordability, and access to health care. Partipcants will be engaged in interactive activities where they are tasked to “reimagine” policies from previous generations with a modern perspective.

  •  Briefing of expectation and task for policywalk

  • Split into groups led by facilitators.

9:15 am - 10:30 am

  • Conduct policywalk in Borey 100 Khnong neighborhood

  • Refreshment break at Media Coffee Shop

10:50 am - 12:00 pm

  • Group reflection session

12:00 pm - 12:15 pm

  • Debriefing & Announcement of next agenda

🎯Objectives:

  • To conduct a policywalk for Cambodian youth to examine the aspects contributing to building a cohesive community.

  • To foster critical thought and understanding of past policies implemented by previous governments and their implications on today’s policy decisions.

  • To facilitate discussion on how built environments are modified by locals to suit contemporary needs and the affects of those actions on their communities.
