IEM Bunhy

BA in International Relations Pannasastra University of Cambodia

Mr. Bunhy recently received a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC). During his academic years, he strived to assist his Professor for a whole semester in terms of doing research about “Surrogacy in Cambodia”. Moreover, Bunhy also won a medal in PUC Debating and Public Speaking Contest 2017. Indeed, he spent some of his times organizing several charity and social events under his own management and team which aim to encourage youth in social involvement and community development.

HORN Chanvoitey

BA in International Studies

Royal University of Phnom Penh

Ms. Horn Chanvoitey is the 7th generation graduate from Department of International Studies at Institute of Foreign Languages. She has written her undergraduate thesis on the topic of China-Russia: The New Rapprochement. Voitey is also a co-author of Cambodia’s Perspectives on Cambodia-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, winning the second place in the 2018 Annual Research Competition, organized by Institute of Foreign Languages, Royal University of Phnom Penh and Cambodia Development Institute.

BA in International Relations

Seila was born and raised in Banteay Srey, Siem Reap. In 2012, She moved to Phnom Penh to pursue her higher education. She recently earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations at the Royal University of Law and Economics. Besides her studies, she gained various work experiences, for instance, as an organizer of the Chaktomuk Short Film Festival in 2017 when she helped organize events and produced a short film during the Film Camp. She also used to work as an interviewer for the ASEAN Youth Leaders Association (AYLA) conducting a survey with high school students.

CHIN Leabphea

BA in International Studies

Royal University of Phnom Penh

Ms. Leabphea dedicated her final year of university to internships: she spent five months at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and further seven months at the Cambodia Development Resource Institute. As a student, she was actively involved in various forms of social work. She facilitated several social events such as Major and Career Fair, the Night of Hope, and ASEAN Festival. Leabphea has also worked as a volunteer at Fundraising and Communication Department at Actionaid Cambodia, and at International Citizenship Services Program of VSO Cambodia. Following her great interest in research, Leabphea decided to become a part of Future Forum as a Young Research Fellow.

PHORN Raksmey

BA in Social Work

Saint Paul Institute, Takeo

Mr. Raksmey holds a bachelor degree of Social Work in 2017 from Saint Paul institute, Takeo province. He used to volunteer at Marrykhnoll Organization, World Vision International organization, and Daughter Charity organization. He was a representative of Social Work Department, Saint Paul Institute to The University of Notre Dame of Australia on an exchange program in 2017. On the same year, he used to participate in an Australian student’s project on Elderly People at Takeo province.

TANG Vouchnea

BA in International Studies

Royal University of Phnom Penh

Tang Vouchnea holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in International Relations from Department of International Studies and Professional Communication from Department of English of Royal University of Phnom Penh. Aside from studying, she has done volunteers and internship; she has currently done an internship at Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO), where she gained experience in working at NGO. She also did an iinternship at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for six months. Being enthusiastic in research skill, she decides to be part of 2019 Young Research Fellow at Future Forum iand hope that she can start career iin research field as well as broaden her professional skill.

SENG Panha

BA in International Relations

University of Cambodia

Mr. Seng Panha graduated with the Bachelor of Art in International Relations at Social Sciences College, University of Cambodia in 2017. During the academic period, he used to work as a core member of the University of Cambodia Student Senate Club (UCSS) and University of Cambodia Debate Club (UCDC). The experience allowed him to work directly with students and local community.

BAN Chanphalla

BA in International Studies

Royal University of Phnom Penh

Mr. Chanphalla earned his Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the Department of International Studies, Royal University of Phnom Penh in 2017.  He has volunteered in various organizations such as Cambodia STEM and National Library of Cambodia. He has a keen interest in Cambodia’s education policy. He recognizes the crucial roles of education in enhancing human capital for the kingdom’s long term development. With the help from Future forum, he aims to conduct his first research project on this critical topic.

VORN Searivoth

MA in Community and Regional Development, Surindra Rajabhat University, Thailand

Born in Kampong Speu Province, Searivoth has educational backgrounds in International Studies, and Community and Regional Development from Royal University of Phnom Penh and Surindra Rajabhat University, respectively. Prior to joining Young Research Fellows Program, he was a research assistant for a researcher from Washington University. Searivoth has research interest in community economic development and community welfare. He expects that the research could effectively form efficient policies in developing community economy as well as promoting sustainable community.

TOP Proloeng

BA in Accounting

Vanda Institute of Accounting

Proloeng earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Vanda Institute of Accounting in 2014. He is currently majoring in International Relations as his second Bachelor’s Degree at Pannasastra University of Cambodia (PUC). Alongside his college journey, he has been spending his time working as a volunteer with various NGOs whose vision is to stimulate youth in social engagement and community development. Notably, he spent mostly 2 years working as youth volunteer, finance assistant intern, and junior volunteer which endeavor to promote impactful and responsible volunteering at VSO Cambodia, an international volunteerism organization. Apart from that, he has just completed a semester scholarship as an exchange participant at the Institute of South East Asian Affairs (ISEAA) of Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
