Originally from Banteay Meanchey province, Mr. Sopheak graduated from the bioscience program at Silpakorn University (SU), Thailand. In 2017, he successfully completed his higher education at the Cambodian National Institute of Cambodia. Given his research background in plants and microbes, he is currently working on micro pathogens such as E. coli in food contamination and sustainable agriculture in terms of soil conservation and soil erosion. Furthermore, he is a social science researcher. Sopheak is currently serving as a young research fellow in Future Forum’s 2023 Young Researchers Program Cohort I. His research revolves around food safety impacting rural areas and nutrition concerns affecting unprivileged children.
