Mr. Yean Sochetra is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Education at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (B.ED. in TEFL) from the Institute of Foreign Languages. He has been a teacher of English and education-related subjects for 5 years ranging from primary to university levels. Currently, he serves as a lecturer at Institute of Technology of Cambodia. He has been involved with some non-organizations touching on educational equity, leadership, and community development. His research interests are lifelong learning, teacher profession, financial literacy, and public health. He centres on constantly bettering his personal and​​ professional growth through lifelong education. By joining the Young Researcher Fellow program provided by the Future Forum, he believes to gain more skills related to scientific research, critical thinking, analytical writing, and build friendships with others. When finishing the program, he aims to write an educational documentary and research paper in order to help contribute to the educational field in Cambodia.
