SOK Seng Hour is an amateur explorer and bookworm who loves delving into local communities and listening to other peoples’ stories and opinions. He has been working as a Research and Translation Officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Phnom Penh since September 2020. In the same year, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in international relations with honors from the then-Department of International Studies, now known as the Institute of International Studies and Public Policy, Royal University of Phnom Penh. He concurrently worked on his BA thesis, “Re-Emergence of Quadrilateral Security Dialogue: An Analysis on Its Relevance in Contemporary Politics,” during his stint as a Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) student in the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. A young research fellow of the 2023 Young Researchers Program January to July Cohort, Seng Hour aims to immerse himself in public policy regarding the garment sector in Cambodia. He hopes that the knowledge he will earn from the program would enlighten him on his field of interest, and serve as the launchpad for his future academic goal.
