Policy & Research Advisor

Future Forum is recruiting for a Policy & Research Advisor to provide overall guidance and support to Future Forum’s four areas of work: the Research Hub, the Advisory Services, the Cambodian We Want policy development and the Civic Education component.
Key responsibilities of the post include: conducting independent public policy research and analysis; conducting political analysis, risk assessment and scenario planning; supervising and mentoring interns and research associates conducting research and analysis; and supporting overall management aspects of the organization.
Minimum requirements for candidates include an MA/post-graduate degree; previous relevant work experience; interest in Cambodia/Southeast Asia; and fluency in written and spoken English.

Future Forum is recruiting highly qualified candidates in various fields of expertise for inclusion on our roster of Affiliated Researchers. Affiliated Researchers are not staff; Future Forum will occasionally contract out work to individuals on the roster, based on needs and the expertise of individuals on the roster. There is no contractual obligation on either Future Forum to provide any remunerated work to roster members or roster members to accept work.
Future Forum is looking for people with specific expertise in the following fields: economics, political science, digital economy, legal affairs/law, statistics, urban planning, demographics, market research, public opinion polling. Journalists and/or individuals with strong proven research and writing skills will also be considered.

Short-Term Researcher: "Future Greater Phnom Penh" Project
Future Forum is seeking for a researcher to conduct research (desk research and interviews) related to the “Future Phnom Penh” (i.e. projections for what Phnom Penh will look like in the years to come), to assist during a one-day training/workshop with stakeholders and to write a report summarizing the research and workshop. The amount of work is expected to be approximately seven (7) days.
We are looking for someone – based in Phnom Penh – with experience in conducting desk research; prior experience conducting scenario planning/fore-sighting and/or experience in conducting research in Cambodia is preferred.
