OU Virak

A Kui indigenous person from the northern part of Cambodia, Preah Vihear province, HEAN Bunhieng works as Technical Advisor to Cambodia Indigenous Peoples Organization (CIPO). He holds a Master's degree in General Management, BA in Geography and BBA in Accounting. Since 2005, he has worked with both local and international NGOs at grass-root, national and regional levels, as Program Coordinator for Private Sector for Natural Resource Governance Program, OXFAM in Cambodia (2013- 2017), for Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact based in Thailand (2011-2013), for The NGO Forum on forestry issues (2009-2011), community development work, World Vision Cambodia (2005-2009), and ACLEDA Bank Plc as service post team leader to manage small loan to communities and office operation.

Bunhieng’s research interest revolves around indigenous people-related issues, especially the conservation and development of the indigenous peoples in Cambodia.
