Dr Laura Beckwith holds a PhD from the School of International Development and Global Studies at the University of Ottawa. Her fieldwork looked at how urban farmers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia responded to the combined effects of environmental change and urbanization. She previously completed her MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London and a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.
She is currently employed at Northumbria University as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow on the Living Deltas Research Hub, where she is studying how young people living in the Mekong Delta are responding to environmental change.
